A one-time service call can go almost anywhere. Ongoing reef care is different. It only works if we can be at your reef on a consistent schedule, visit after visit, and that’s what we consider when we decide whether an area makes sense.
So if we ever tell you a reef is outside where we work, it isn’t about the drive. It’s because we don’t want to be the service that shows up irregularly.

Keeping a reef in central Oklahoma
Reefs don’t know they’re in Oklahoma, but the house around them does. A few local realities shape how we plan and care for reefs across the metro.
Ice storms and spring storms
Oklahoma loses power, from winter ice to spring severe weather. A reef can handle a short outage far better when flow and temperature have a plan behind them, so we build that into the systems we design and the systems we maintain.
Long, hot summers
Summer pushes room temperatures and tank temperatures up, especially where the AC is working hard or a tank sits near a sunny window. Heat is easier to plan for in May than to fix in August.
Dry winters
When the heat is running, indoor air dries out and evaporation climbs. Top-off systems work harder, and salinity can drift if they fall behind.
Municipal water
Tap water across the metro is treated for people, not coral. Reefs rely on purified water, typically RO/DI, and the purification system needs attention too.
None of this is exotic. It’s just local, and it’s part of what we plan for.
